Your instructor will be Erik Schmidt.
AeroDynamic Instrument Ground School Instructor Erik Schmidt
CFI, CFII, MEI, Aerobatics

A patient yet demanding instructor, Erik began his flying career in US Navy Aviation where his first flight was aerobatics in a T34C. He's been avoiding straight and level flight ever since. Much of Erik's flying has been in Alaska and the upper Midwest in a variety of good aircraft and bad weather. Erik received his tailwheel endorsement in a Pitts S2B at the Sean Tucker Aerobatics School, but he also has many hours in Extras, Decathlons and bush planes like the Piper Cub and Cessna 185. In addition, Erik has lots of "Glass Cockpit" experience and is factory certified to teach in Rolls Royce Turbines. Erik loves to instruct and can take you from Private through to Multi-Engine. He will teach you the mechanics and the practical application of theory safely and efficiently.

You can email us at info@aerodynamicaviation.com or call our office on (408) 320-9614

The IFR school will take place over 10 Monday evenings - one per week - starting at 6:30pm. Do come and talk to Erik Schmidt about the course, including discussing books and materials you may need. The school teaches you the information you will need not just to pass pass the knowledge test but also to fly safely in the instrument environment. Some homework, in the form of extra reading is required. The timetable and curriculum are shown below.

Cost is $250.00 for the complete course. Block members are eligible for 10% credit on our usual terms. Materials not included.

We can sell you the texts you need.  The most complete package is the Gleim Instrument Pilot Kit (with the FAA test prep software) for $159, including tax and shipping costs, a saving of almost $20 compared to buying online from Gleim.
