History: Aerobatics inspired Lynzie to learn to fly. She trained as a commercial helicopter and airplane pilot in New Zealand, where grass runways were more common than paved and mountains were a 5 minute flight away.
Lynzie worked as a commercial pilot and fixed wing flight instructor in New Zealand and Australia before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area for a change of weather. She has experience in ferry flying, aerial photography and mapping, low level survey, corporate, charter, medevac, frost protection, dropping skydivers, tourism, and traffic watch. She obtained her FAA CFI in order to be home every night with her family; her two young boys are frequent flyers.
Lynzie has been instructing for more than 15 years and has a clear and calm instructional style and personalizes training to maximize an individual client’s learning style. She believes that having fun is the best way to learn, and particularly loves introducing people to gentle aerobatics. She is committed to seeing her students successfully achieve their goals and then discover more flying goals, she volunteers her spare time fostering aviation community, encouraging women in aviation and mentoring professional pilots.
