Hrishikesh Mehendale soloed Citabria 9091L under CFI Jim Grant’s watchful eye.
Having completed three complete circuits in the pattern, Hrishikesh was back on terra firma as a newly fledged pilot.
Congratulations and well done to Hrishi and CFI Jim.
It’s been a good summer and now people are getting their rewards for their hard work. The latest graduate to the world of Private Pilots is Bob Scarbrough who passed his flight test in Citabria 5032G with Examiner Sherry Diamond.
Congratulations and well done Bob!
Our own Brian Hsu has been working hard! Brian added his Multi Engine Instrument Commercial rating to his pilot license. Brian took his flying lessons with AeroDynamic CFI Sergey Sinyachkin in the Beech Duchess and aced his flight test with Examiner Sherry Diamond.
Congratulations and well done to Brian and Sergey.
We have a newly certified pilot. Not only that but he liked it so much he bought his own airplane! Congratulations to Mike Lancon who flew his Champ to Oakland to take and pass his checkride with Examiner Lou Fields.
Well done Mike, and his instructor, Daniel Most.
Another fledgling leaves the nest. Congratulations to Oleg Grinshteyn who soloed for the first time in Citabria 53893, with both his wife and his instructor watching from the ground.
A few short minutes later, he was back for his first landing. Great job!
Well done Oleg and AeroDynamic CFI Sergey Sinyachkin!
It was a beautiful sunset when Francisco Nunez took off on his own for his first solo flight. Citabria 9091L performed flawlessly.

Starting Thursday Oct 6th and running throught Sunday Oct 9th, Fleet Week activities will cause Temporary Flight Restrictions over San Francisco. The TFR is a 5 mile circle centered on a spot somewhere between Alcatraz and the City.
The current NOTAM describes it in detail. Basically, if I am reading it correctly, the TFR is active Thursday 12noon till 6pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11 till 5pm. But NOTAMs have a way of changing so be sure you get a briefing before you fly.
