Congratulations to our newest multi-engine instructor! Claudio trained with our Chief Instructor Jen to earn his Commercial AMEL and now MEI certifications. He did an amazing job on his checkride with a first-time pass with DPE Richard Conte. Claudio will be flying his newly purchased Baron twin-engine aircraft around the west coast with his new ratings and doing a little teaching with us, too. Whoot-whoot!
Congrats to one of our own! Adam passed his Certificated Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) checkride just a few hours ago. He should also have his Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate in a few days. Adam began his flight training with AeroDynamic a couple of years ago and has progressed very quickly. We are so proud of you, Adam!

Location: San Jose, CA (KRHV)
Certification: Airline Transport Pilot, Multi-Engine
Our Chief Instructor, Jen, recently earned her Multi-Engine ATP license in our Twin Comanche with DPE Yuzo Wakita. Jen gives a big thank you to everyone who cheered her on, especially her mentor and former owner of AeroDynamic Aviation, Zdravko Podolski. Under Zdravko’s tutelage, this former airline pilot has completed her tailwheel, CFII, MEI, and now ATP.
This summer Jen plans on competing at aerobatic competitions and earning IAC Judge status. Her Decathlon, N2804Z is a gorgeous red, 150-hp Decathlon that will be coming online in San Jose soon.
“Zdravko taught me how to really fly an airplane and to learn something new each day.” ~ Jen

Location: Monterey, CA (KMRY)
Certification: Single-Engine ATP
AeroDynamic Instructor and Surf Air pilot, Tuomas, earned his single-engine Airline Transport License (ATP) in a Cessna 172! Tuomas is originally from Finland and will be moving to San Diego soon. We are excited to see his accomplishments and sad to lose such an amazing instructor. Thanks for sharing you expertise with so many students. We wish you all the best!
AeroDynamic Aviation gives a big thank you to our CFI Jason Brown for organizing an event designed to keep up communications between our busy Reid-Hillview air traffic controllers and the students, pilots and instructors they work with daily. Last Saturday and Sunday Jason, Jen, Josh, Batelle and Geoff (AeroDynamic pilots) took more than 10 local controllers up for flights around Southeast San Jose.
While the controllers learned to pilot the aircraft (J3 Cub, Champ, Citabria and SportStar) and work the radios from the other side of the glass, their instructors showed them some of the well-known VFR checkpoints and how difficult it can be to spot other aircraft, especially when “number 5” in the pattern with dual runways. We are very appreciative of all they do to handle the high volume at our busy airport! Thanks for being part of our family for a day and seeing how the other side works 🙂
Thanks to all the incredible people who devote their time to making new pilots and passing on their love of aviation to future generations. AeroDynamic Aviation would not be the amazing place it is without this hard-working group of staff and instructors, our aviation family. Special thanks also goes to those significant others who support them.
Happy Holidays from all of us to you and yours!
Congratulations to Matt Bragen on becoming a Certified Flight Instructor! This is an amazing accomplishment and we are proud to see him pass his checkride and join us in training more pilots! A special thank you to CFII Dick Chang for getting Matt prepared for this complex checkride!
Congratulations to the multi-talented Artem Kulik! He is a CFI, an AMP, and now a CFII! A perfect rating for Monterey weather!Newly minted CFII Artem Kulik and DPE Yuzo Wakita
Thank you to CFI Jen Delp-Mallet for all of your great instruction and support throughout his training!
